RONNY POLAROID (1982)
EDITION OF 40 PRINTS AVAILABLE UNTIL 30TH OF JUNE ONLY
An original 1982 Polaroid by Mark Wardel capturing French singer Ronny, a fleeting yet intriguing figure from the early electro-pop era. Best known for If You Want Me To Stay, co-produced by Rusty Egan and Midge Ure, Ronny remains one of the period’s most elusive characters.
More than a photograph, this image is a rare cultural artefact. Wardel later used the Polaroid as the reference for a painted portrait shown in his first solo London exhibition in 1983, making it a direct link between the Blitz-era underground and his early artistic practice.
Limited Edition of 40 prints, available until 30 June 2026.
